medicine

parks really likes medicine,
and he always has.

the other night he had a slight fever (he is getting new teeth) and erik asked him if he wanted medicine.

He was super excited and got ready.

After the medicine parks decided to take "tone" on a ride.  They made it all the way to the bathroom before they crashed.

parks made sure to grap "tone" before fleeing the scene.

tyrone

parks would like you all to meet his best friend tyrone aka "tone
 "tone" goes everywhere with us.

Parks is so funny he always treats "tone" just like we treat him (but we do not carry parks around by the neck).

He will have "tone" point to things and then he will tell them what they are, at church he kept showing "tone" the lights and the speakers, "tone" also had to sit on parks lap, just like parks was sitting on dads lap.

Everytime parks wants to be picked up he will say me.  the other day "tone" was on the floor, parks walked by and said me then picked up "tone

We love our parks, and parks loves "tone"

noodles

Monday for lunch parks and i had noodles.

Parks loves "noods" he was so excited when i showed him the box.

While our noodles were cooking we had
chips, salsa, and a diet coke

Parks is my bestest buddy in the whole wide world.

basketball

parks has turned into a daddys boy.  he just kicked me out of the room he wants "dadee" to put him to sleep... so i quess i will blog.  parks loves to play with dad.  on satuday erik had to spend more time than normal at the library, and parks was not a fan.  everytime that we would walk into the house he would yell "dadee" and was so sad that no one answered.

Since then parks wont let erik leave his side

On Sunday erik and parks played basketball.  Parks found that if he stood on the chair it is a whole lot easier to make a basket.

dunkin donuts

on friday night we went to dinner and then on a little drive.

on the way home erik saw a dunkin donuts

erik loves dunkin donuts
(i think it is because it reminds him of being a kid in florida) so we stopped to get a treat.

Parks was so excited to get a "don" his grandpa introduced him to donuts a couple of months ago and since then he always wants one.

Parks even told the man what donut he wanted.

the whole car ride home parks kept saying "don" and pointing to his open mouth

so dunkin donuts we love you and will be back often because nothing is better than a "don"

laundry

My little parks is being such a good little helper.

he loves to help me with the laundry.  His favorite thing to wash is his "blanket".

as you can he he would put his blanket in the basket and then the basket into the dryer.

i love that i get to spend everyday with parks.

little boy

my baby is no longer a baby.  now he is a little boy.

The other night parks discovered that if you take the cushion off of the couch it makes it a lot more fun.

Everyday he starts acting more like a little mischevious boy.

i love that at the end of the day there are toys all over the living room floor,

cushions off of the couch, and little action figures everywhere.  Every night as i clean up it makes me smile.

guns

the other day during lunch dad made parks and himself some guns.

parks was so cute running around the family shooting everything.

he even used his chair as a fort.  he is so funny

feeding the ducks

we have a lake where we live.  parks loves to feed the ducks.  Here are some of the highlights from the last trip to the lake

* parks liked to feed himself more than he liked to feed the ducks.
* he was constantly pointing next to him and telling the ducks that they needed to come to him

* he loves to run down the hill and chase the ducks into the water
* when i would throw bread to the ducks parks would run after it and pick it up and eat it
* he waved bye to the ducks

* parks could not understand why the ducks did not want to play with him

* parks would also put the bread right at his feet and tell the ducks to eat it

medical school update

medical school came with lots of new toys.  erik learned how to use these new toys at school today.  parks and i are now his guinea pigs.  we have bright lights in our eyes and things in our ears.

erik - yeah, medical school has been a blast. well, atleast the parts where i'm not sitting in lecture; which is what i do for about 30 hrs/week. you know you're kind of a nerd when someone makes a joke about mitochondria or DNA and it's funny. then there is about 4 hrs of the week where we see "patients" and play doctor and another 4 where we're in a big room and everyone is has stripped down to just shorts, or shorts and a sports bra. kind of weird at first, but today was nice and relaxing. we worked on OMM or OPP and pretty much just gave each other neck and back massages. nice. and yes, i have some pretty sweet and expensive doctor accessories that i've been using on the fam. the med skills and OMM i've learned i can't do on annie yet without her busting up laughing. ok, i need to study. student doctor miguel, out.

nursery

on sunday parks went to his first day of nursery.  for the first 15 min he was fine.  but i guess after that he just pointed to the door crying and said "door door"  so they came and found me and parks and i walked around the church until he calmed down.

after he stopped crying i asked him if he wanted to go back and play with the toys.  The closer that we got to the nursery door he started to say "nonononononononono".  I went in with him and played.

After a while dad came into nursery with parks.  they sang songs and colored pictures.  The funniest thing happened during treat time, the kids were given raisins.  parks took one bite and spit it out.  he then looked around and saw that all of the kids were eating rasins so he gave in to peer pressure and ate his raisins.

* erik and i also had a rough first day of church.  We spent most of sacrament meeting trying to find people that looked like we could be friends with.  After i pointed out about 5 different couples erik told me that we did not need any friends from the ward.  Erik also tried to use michael scotts way of memorizing names, the only problem is that we did not learn their real names so we still know them as "flower head" and "bicep".  We then had to sit through an hour of old people debating the old testiment.
