a day at the zoo

this morning parks and i went with our friends june and melissa to the zoo.  we could only spend a couple hours at the zoo because it got really hot.  Parks favorite part of the zoo is the amazon fish
They are big gross and scary.

Parks and june were walking around exploring when they decided to start running.  Parks got going really fast and was not able to stop so he slid down the hill on his bum.  we could not stop laughing.

we also went to the little farm that they had at the zoo.

June did not like the sand.

Parks spent most of the time
falling off of stuff.

like the cow and the sheep

After the farm we went to the monkey village.  In the monkey village the monkeys are not in cages and you just get to walk around with them jumping over your head.  if was really fun until it got really really hot!!!

we love the zoo

hair cut

parks has had lots and lots and lots of haircuts.  but this was the first haircut where we cut off a couple of inches

it was sad to cut his hair,

babies kill to have hair like parks.

his favorite part was looking in the mirror after.  dad thought that i had done such a good job that he wanted me to cut his hair.  then erk cut my hair (nothing cool and new he just gave me a trim)

what a perfect way to spend a sunday evening.

ten in 10

i have a list of things that i have wanted to do for a long time, but never have gotten around to.  so i decided that maybe if i make my list on my blog i will actually accomplish them.  i am giving my self ten months to complete the list.  why ten months???  because that is when we are going to move again.
the thought of moving again makes we want to take a nap

so here is the list:

* finish the quiet book i started a year ago (you will see that lots of things have been started but not finished!)
* make a felt christmas count down just like my moms
* make a happy birthday banner

* wear a piece of jewerly everyday (wedding ring does not count)

* get caught up on my blurb book

* blog three days a week

* clean out every box, closet, and storage device in my house.

* become one of those weird organized people. (while my family may not have musical talents or talets that people can see, man we can organize and clean!!!)

* develope a new talent ( i don't know what yet but i will find something)

*once a month do something that i don't want to do but is really nice or kind

when i finish each thing i will post pictures !!!

buzz lightyear

parks loves loves loves loves loves buzz lightyear

 He has had one little
buzz lightyear action figure that has been nothing but a disapointment (the helment does not swoosh back)

when we were in vegas before we flew back to Arizona bampa took parks to the disney store.  Parks was in heaven he spent the whole time taking every buzz off of the shelves.

Bampa bought parks a buzz (which is not a dissapointment because the helment does swoosh back) and a buzz cell phone.  Parks must have buzz with him all the time.

spooky guys

while we were in St. george my mom and i put up all of her halloween decorations (we know that it is early but we like to decorate together and this was going to be our only chance before halloween)  this got me way excited to decorate our house.  So mom, here are the pictures of our halloween decorations aka spooky guys.

this is the entry:

these are the dinning room chairs.

this is the family room.

parks loves that we have spooky guys in our house (parks calls everything that is halloween related spooky guys.  this started while we were walking around hobby lobby looking at the scarecrows.)  parks now calls  everthing spooky guys.

welcome home crabbie

while parks and i  were in St. George parks wanted to spend all day in grandma and grandpas sandbox.  When we got back to Arizona erik and i decided that we should get him a sandbox.  After searching craigslist i found a red crabbie sandbox for only 20 dollars!!!  So erik parks and i jumped in the car and headed to phoenix (i am really glad that erik came)  we found the creepy i mean nice man and bought crabbie
(the man even sent us an email after we bought
it just to see how parks liked his new sandbox)

It was in good condition but was a little bit of fading and it had some paint splatter.  All it took was a little bit of this

and crabbie was looking good as new

this is erik hauling 40 pound bags of sand up three flights of stairs.

Parks was so excited.  (so was i)

 we love crabbie!!!
