bing

the other day parks walked out on the deck and started saying bing.  he would put his arm in the air and yell *BING*.

 after a long time i figured that he wanted me to bring the top of the crab inside(well he really wanted the whole crab inside but i explained how the crab had a hundred pounds of sand in it and i am not that strong, he responded by showing me his muscles).  He spent the next hour jumping, and fake falling on the crab. 

it is 1 am.

 where is your child?

our child is perfecting his football game,

& learning how to swing a bat.

since moving to arizona parks will only go to sleep if erik is also going to bed. this means that parks usually goes to bed at midnight and wakes up at 10 or 11. what a life.

parks + june

parks + june. 

* Everytime we go into a store parks starts looking for "dune"

* the other morning i told parks that we were going to see june but he had to get in the tub first.  after his bath he ran to the front door to find june.  he then had a total meltdown because she was not there.

* parks is a show off when he is around june.  he uses all his best moves: taking off his shirt, flexing, doing push-ups and lifting heavy things.

* Parks & june are get so excited when they see each other.

jumping

parks just learned how to jump on the couch. 

 his dad taught him. 

 now parks jumps all day long.

douglas + parks

parks has a really hard life, 

 filled with many important things to do. 

 Sometimes he just has to take a break from it all.

douglas is usually close by.

Do you remember when you come up and asked us "if all of that thumping was necessary". Remember how we told you that we had company and that we were sorry? Well i regret to inform you that our company has left but i fear the thumping has not stopped. so as long as we own balls, bats, and toys in general the thumping is a necessary part of our lives.

getting the mail

getting the mail is the highlight of parks day. (sometimes we get the mail like 10 times a day)

(the mail box he is trying to open is not even ours hahaha)

perfect day

the other morning was dark and cloudy, i love dark cloudy days.

Parks and i headed down to the pool.

it was the perfect day, the wind was blowing, the sky was grey and parks was cute.

the pool is right next to the lake and we spent the morning looking for ducks,

eating strawberries

and playing with balls.

 a perfect day.

quiet book

i have got a good chunk of the quiet book done.  i gave myself a week and this is what i accomplished.  i am sad that we had to use the flash on the camera, i don't think that the pictures make the pages look as cute as they do in real life. (the colors look dull in the pictures, but in real life they are bright and cute, i am going to try and take pics during the day so i don't have to use the flash)  i am so happy with how the book turned out.  parks loves to play with it, i hope he still likes it during church!!!  i spent every min. that parks was asleep this week working on the book.  some morning melissa and june came over and the kids played while we sewed. ( i have plans for other pages but they will not be done for awhile.)  and like i said the book is lots cuter in real life. So here are the first nine pages:

the ocean

this is parks favorite page.  you match the fish to their color button.  (i have plans to make other sea animals)

this page is owls in a tree.  they attatch with velcro.

gumballs

this is the gumball page.  it has ten gumballs that you match the colors.

 

there is also a spot for a quarter.  i was going to make a felt quarter but parks loves real money. 

 there is a little pouch to keep all the gumballs and money in.

this page has twelve pumpkins that you can pick

welcome to the zoo. this page has a cage that opens and lots of animals.

the sun attaches with a botton.  the finger puppets even have tails

cupcakes

this page is the cupcake page.  it is hard to see in this picture but it has a cake platter with pom poms and velcro to attach the cupcakes.  there are lots of choices to mix and match the cupcakes. 

(i have also made a candle holder and have started making candles, i will post pictures when i am done)

noahs ark:  the ark is a pocket that hold the animals, clouds, sun, and rainbow.

the rainbow and clouds attatch with velcro and the sun attaches with a button

these are the three animal finger puppets that i have finished: elephant, tiger, and lion (i am still making noah, and a zebra)

A NIGHT WITH PARKS

last night parks wanted to wear his

puppy jammies

 and play farm

then he wanted to draw

and play hide-n-seek

then he was a good parks &

started to clean up

he dropped each piece in the bucket

one by one

they he started to take each piece out

one by one

all cleaning (and uncleaning) stopped as soon as he saw a ball and a dad

parks was sweating so bad at this point i had to take the jammies off
